9/14: Shibari for Beginners

In a safe & playful environment we will explore: rope safety, consent, rope selection and care, basic knots, a few ties (single & double column ties, pentagram harness & karada), as well as the importance of communication & after care.

9/16: Revolutionary Love

An hour-long embodiment workshop hosted by Rosa Carson in which you will explore practices that bring you home to your body as a place of belonging — a place where love, power, and sensual aliveness thrive.

9/17: Processing Grief Through Sex Work as Discussed by KWD

A discussion with slides delving into the ways grief appears in our daily lives specifically for folks who interact with erotic labor. Hosted by the Ishtar Collective.

9/17: Ask a Sex Therapist/Educator

Got sex questions? Carolanne, a licensed psychotherapist and certified sex therapist, and Beth, founder of Earth+Salt and certified sex educator, are here to answer them!

This event will be more of a roundtable dialogue, less of a professional presentation.

Whether you are a curious beginner or an experienced player, this space is for you. Our skilled instructor will cover the essential principles of safety, consent, and effective communication, so that you can engage in this powerful form of edge play with confidence and care.

9/19: Building Kink Community

A moderated panel discussion featuring organizers of munches on the nuances of managing a kink community, lessons learned, hosting affinity spaces, and their visions for the future of kink communities in Vermont!

9/20: Let Me Take That For You - Exploring Submission

This class — for doms, subs, switches, and the curious — explores submissive desire as a rich combination of active, passive, leading, following, being brought down, and being lifted up.

9/20: Pleasure in Your Hands - Exploring Dominance

Explore what dominance is, how to identify and express our desires to give and take pleasure while holding authority, and how to work through insecurity that doms often face while trying to balance their desires with partners’ expectations.

Think you know a thing or two about sex? Prove it! Through sexuality-themed trivia, games, and sing-a-longs, we will have an evening of learning, laughing (loving, breathing, fighting, fucking, crying, drinking (iykyk)), and deciding if your friend's sex advice is any good. Sex should be fun, so learning about it should be fun, too. Bring or join a team to try to win sexy prizes!

Join Ishtar collective and Spiral House for food and discussion bridging the gaps between our islands of erotic labor and finding ways to support and celebrate each other.

 

This is a free event, open to everyone! No ticket or registration required.

9/19: Explorers Meet and Greet

Modeled after ChemistryNYC's successful Biochemistry event, this private event is for Het and Het presenting couples where the person who identifies as male is bicurious, wants to meet other men in an open and safe environment with the support of their female or femme partner.

Event details and venue will be shared with folks who purchase tickets.

9/19: Queer and Trans Porn Showcase

A celebration of community through erotic film. Get ready to enjoy a curated selection of films amongst new and old friends. There will be snacks & refreshments, raffle prizes, and opportunities to flirt and cruise.

9/20: Pole in the Park

Join us for Pole in the Park hosted by Revol.vt at Burlington Waterfront Park on Saturday September 20th from noon to 4 
This is an entirely free community-building event, no experience needed! We will have 1-2 poles available. Bring friends! A picnic, your own stage pole if you want!

9/20: Making Melanated Memories to Last a Lifetime

This is a members-only event! You can sign up via our FetLife Group: https://fetlife.com/groups/298757 or click the button below and fill out the form. Event details will be privately emailed to folks who sign up on FetLife or via the registration form.

 

This is a private munch for members of BIPOC Kinky Vermont who self-identify as Black, Indigenous and Persons of Color (BIPOC) kinksters. This is a casual gathering, in a vanilla setting where you can meet folks and build community. This is a unique affinity space (intended for BIPOC individuals) for members and their partners. We are QTPOC, accessible and inclusive. Street clothes are recommended. 

Health Practitioner Workshops

9/16: Age is Not a Condom -- Clinical Sexual Health Considerations and Approaches for Older Adults

In this session participants will debunk myths about sex and aging, discuss current research and trends, and learn about how to approach STIs, safer sex, bodily changes, and pleasure with their patients. Everyone deserves shame-free, pleasure-centered, inclusive sexual health care, including our older adult population. 

9/18: Beyond the Binary: Integrating Trans Inclusive Practices into Health Care

In this engaging and informative presentation on trans inclusive health care, we’ll dive into gender affirming language, how to build comfort & safety for patients, resources for trans pleasure, and tools for providers.

9/19: Navigating Your Nervous System in Intimacy & Kink

What's happening in your nervous system when you're anxious, avoidant or triggered? The science of our nervous system is universal. This workshop aims to give practical information so you can understand your nervous system and how to regulate and/or coregulate with a partner (in various situations) in order to reclaim your calm.
